First Fridays @ The Carle

Free with Museum Admission
Storytime at 5:30 pm and Film at 6:15 pm* The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art offers families the opportunity to meet, eat, and enjoy all of the Museum's regular public programs and special exhibitions at a time convenient for you!

Taking a cue from the Museum's popular Member PJ parties, which have been cited by families as the perfect bedtime transition for little ones, First Fridays @ The Carle invites visitors to head to the Museum after school/work, grab a quick and casual bite to eat in the Museum's Café, enjoy a Storytime in the Reading Library, drop by the Galleries, take in a short film in the Auditorium, and create a masterpiece in the Art Studio . . . all before bedtime!

The program runs from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on the first Friday of each month.

Music and More! with Linda Hickman and Michael Nix is an interactive program featuring songs, books, finger play, movement, and animal puppets. Families are welcome to sing and dance to traditional favorites and interactive songs while Michael and Linda play guitars, banjos, and percussion instruments.

Now showing! Every Friday in April and May from 2:30 – 3:45 pm A Year with Frog and Toad, the live action film.

Join Frog and Toad as they navigate through an adventure-filled year and are joined by colorful companions along the way. Set to a jazzy score, this charming musical lovingly captures the spirit of Lobel's whimsical stories as this unlikely friendship blossoms and grows. Conceived by Arnold Lobel’s daughter Adrianne Lobel, the film features Jay Goede as Frog and Mark Linn-Baker as Toad.

Taking a cue from the Museum's popular Member PJ parties, which have been cited by families as the perfect bedtime transition for little ones, First Fridays @ The Carle invites visitors to head to the Museum after school/work, grab a quick and casual bite to eat in the Museum's Café, enjoy a Storytime in the Reading Library, drop by the Galleries, take in a short film in the Auditorium, and create a masterpiece in the Art Studio . . . all before bedtime!

The program runs from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on the first Friday of each month.
