Each night Alma falls awake into her dreams. Tonight she rediscovers a long lost and cherished friend who happens to be a big black bird--and happens to be inside an egg, on her head! Her dream begins deep in the forest where small birds quietly lay a large, warm egg on the hard knot at the top of her head. The large, warm egg wiggles and jiggles atop her head, makes her tall and powerful, and then, cracks open. Seeing her friend suddenly there before her, she realizes how much she missed him. Their time together is brief, but they manage to share so much. For Alma and her friend, it is a night to remember.
