From NYC and points South

From New York City, it takes approximately 3 hours to get to the Museum.
Follow Route 91 North to Massachusetts Exit 19 Northampton/ Amherst.
At the end of the exit ramp, take a right onto Route 9 East (Bridge Street)
Pass over the Calvin Coolidge Bridge staying in the right lane.
Look for the blue highway signs that will help direct you to the museum.
Before the Getty Station, the right lane merges onto Old Bay Road.
Follow Old Bay Road and at the stop sign, make a right onto Bay Road.
After 1.8 miles, take a left to follow Bay Road toward Hampshire College/South Amherst.
Continue another 2.5 miles to the museum. [Note: you will be going through the Town of Hadley into Amherst so don’t be confused by the street numbers.]
Look for our sign on the left. The museum is the white contemporary building adjacent to the Hampshire College Campus and is accessed through the Bay Road entrance of the campus (Prince Road).
