Nothing But Nonsense

Diana MacKenzie

Just how silly you can be? For the Studio’s recent art project, we are making black paper collages that could belong in Eric Carle’s new book, The Nonsense Show, with drawing tools and nonsensical clip art pictures.

We are using our silver and white gel pens, metallic colored pencils, and beeswax crayons to create a really interesting contrast against the black paper.

In the weeks leading up to the project, we prompted guests to submit silly  drawings for us to incorporate into the activity.

A few drawing prompts: SOMETHING BEING CARRIED BY SEVERAL BALLOONS; YOUR FAVORITE MEAL, SNACK OR DESSERT; A BIG OR SMALL VEHICLE CARRYING SPECIAL CARGO; A MAN WITH HAIR ON HIS FACE; A WOMAN WITH A UNIQUE HAIRSTYLE

Guests are using the clip art pictures in very creative ways!
