Book a Group

The Carle offers onsite and outreach programs for schools, libraries, childcare centers, preschools, home-school groups, and family centers. These programs and classes, led by professional educators, artists, and authors, are designed to ignite the imagination and inspire the creative process.  Grounded in the Museum’s approach to education, they enhance visual and verbal literacy and support critical and creative thinking.

NEW!

The Carle is pleased to announce a new distance learning program offered through Field Trip Zoom! In I See A Story: All About Eric Carle, PreK-Grade 2 students will learn about Eric Carle, where his ideas come from, and how his creative process works. Included in the presentation is an interactive story time and an exploration of the materials Carle uses when he creates his signature collages.

Group Tours

Museum Admission is included when booking a private onsite class with your group. For an additional fee you may add a guided tour which includes facilitated time in the Galleries as well as a hands-on experience in the Art Studio. Learn more about bringing your group to The Carle.

Art-Centered Outreach Programs

These programs are designed to engage students with materials in ways that spark the imagination and inspire critical and creative thinking. Learn more about our art-centered classes.

Book-Centered Outreach Programs

These outreach programs support critical engagement with the picture book as an art form, engage the group in a collaborative experience, and place emphasis on reading with children rather than reading to children. Learn more about our book-centered outreach programs.
