Join us for Create at The Carle! a program with for adults 55 and older interested in expressing themselves through visual art.

Artists’ books are a visual, tactile format for expressing ideas. In this eight-week workshop, participants will explore books as unique art objects and build skill with a variety of techniques and forms that can be expanded and combined. Students will use these skills to experiment with sequencing and the relationship between text and image. Some of the structures and bindings covered in the course could include: concertina, Japanese binding, tunnel book, crown binding, altered books, flag books, scroll books, and palm leaf books.

Create at The Carle! is presented in partnership with Aroha Philanthropies in order to support the development and expansion of Artful Aging programs.

See Workshops for Adults & Educators to sign up.
