The Museum offers free parking for cars and buses.
The Carle is located in Amherst, Massachusetts next to the Hampshire College Campus and the Yiddish Book Center. The Museum is accessed through the Bay Road entrance of the Hampshire campus.
The Museum is approximately two hours from Boston, one hour and 45 minutes from Albany, and three hours and 15 minutes from New York City.
If you are coming from the East, we recommend you take the Mass Pike (I-90) all the way to I-91 north.

All major airlines serve Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, about an hour from Amherst.
Amtrak trains run regularly from New York City to Springfield, Massachusetts and, less frequently, to Amherst.
Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) buses run hourly from Springfield to Amherst. There is also a free bus service, in coordination with the PVTA, that runs throughout the school year and on a limited summer schedule between the Five Colleges (Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst). Both the 38 and the 39 stop next to the Museum. The 32 Puffer’s Pond/Atkins Corner bus runs between Amherst Center and the Museum Monday through Saturday.
