Situated in an apple orchard overlooking the Holyoke Range, The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, Massachusetts, offers city elegance in a country setting, perfect for weddings and receptions, business meetings, and special gatherings. See our Carle wedding brochure.
Our state-of-the-art facility is about two hours from Boston and a three-hour drive from New York City. The Carle’s contemporary, light-filled rental spaces can be adapted to suit a variety of needs. The 40,000 square foot space includes an expansive Great Hall with vibrant murals, a granite-tiled courtyard, a café and full-sized professional kitchen, a theatre that seats 140, and three galleries featuring some of the world’s finest picture book art.
The Carle is able to accommodate up to 150 guests for weddings, receptions and other large seated events. For standing receptions and other informal functions, the Museum can comfortably fit up to 350 guests. All private events must take place outside of regular Museum hours.
