Profiles

Diana MacKenzie, The Carle’s Public Art Program Educator since 2007, has a BFA in Printmaking from Syracuse University. Lately she makes books, sculptures, draws in her sketchbook, and crochets things to wear. She loves the process of mixing paint colors together, especially blues and greens, because they remind her of her childhood living by the sea.

Meghan Burch, Guided Art Programs Educator at The Carle, has been getting messy with kids, parents and educators in the Studio since 2003. She has a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and tries to think with materials and work with her hands everyday.

Sarah Johnston, Museum Educator at the Carle since 2011, has an M.Ed in Elementary Education and a MA in Art Education from the University of Maryland.  Before working at the museum she taught elementary art in Chicago and has happily been assisting in the Studio and doing Outreach Programs.  Printmaking is her favorite art to make on her press at home, but she is also an avid knitter and crocheter and is always adding to her somewhat ridiculous yarn stash.
