Recently in The Studio for a Special Sunday activity, the room was abuzz with drama and creativity as guests hammed it up with their handmade marker cap finger puppets and mini puppet theatres. Studio staff made a few funny characters to get guests inspired!
Last month a special guest from the Cotsen Children?s Library of Princeton University came to host a special event for our Art Studio guests. Dana Sheridan, the Education and Outreach Coodinator, loaded her car full of supplies and tools and drove to The Carle for an exciting afternoon making Cars and Trucks and Things That Go! Every year in March we celebrate Very Hungry Caterpillar Day with a fun caterpillar-themed activity in The Studio. This year guests made very silly caterpillars with tons of colorful found materials glued to cardboard bases.
We had the materials on a large table setup like a buffet and guests collected what they wanted to use.
For years at The Carle, the Art Studio?s annual Valentine-Making Party has been a way for families to spend time making together while also avoiding the stress and mess of helping children make their classroom Valentines.
