Making Art Together

Paper Marbling with Adults

In our Art Studio space, we strive to be a place for people of all ages to participate in creative art-making. In our most recent evening adult workshop, we explored paper marbling. The workshops are designed with experimentation and introductory levels in mind, allowing people to create their own artwork surrounding a theme. This winter, participants explored three different marbling techniques using materials found around the home, combined with art materials readily accessible in art supply stores. READ MORE

Experiments in Papermaking

Here in the Art Studio, we have started hosting more art classes for adults. In these classes our aim is to introduce materials and techniques in a fun and comfortable setting. One evening this fall, we brought out recycled papers, vats of water, screens and deckles and turned the Art Studio into a dedicated papermaking space. READ MORE

The Art of Surprise

During a past Every Day Art Project, we noticed that children and adults alike love the surprising reaction between watercolor paint and crayons, where the crayon actively resists watercolor.
