Guest Services Staff

The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art is seeking an outgoing friendly individual to create a positive experience for Museum guests. Guest Services Staff work at Admissions, within the Galleries and the Reading Library. Duties include sale of daily Museum admission, advance program tickets, and memberships. The Guest Services staff proactively and warmly welcome guests, responds to questions, offers guidance, and resolves general complaints from guests and members on site. In order to provide excellent service the staff will stay abreast of current and upcoming exhibitions, films, educational programs, and marketing campaigns. Staff will help maintain inventory of printed information and marketing materials, and ensures signage is properly placed.   In addition they will ensure the smooth flow of guests by proactively guiding visitors to various queues and spaces as needed. The Guest Services Staff assist in the maintenance of the Reading Library by shelving books and leading Storytime. Reporting to the Guest Services Coordinator the position requires a team oriented person who is capable of multi-tasking; should have previous experience working with the public, an interest in Museum work is preferred. Approx. 14-22 hours per week, must be available to work weekends and holiday periods.
