Meet David Small

May 18, 2019
Free with Museum Admission

Recommended for ages 16 and up

Meet author-illustrator David Small as he talks about his graphic novel, Home After Dark. Small’s first graphic novel since his best-selling and award-winning graphic memoir, Stitches, Home After Dark delves into the impact of adolescence devoid of positive male models and the often-murky moral decisions boys must make at school, around their community, and inside the home.

David Small, author of the #1 New York Times best-selling Stitches, is the recipient of the Caldecott Medal, two Caldecott Honors, the Christopher Medal, the E. B. White Award, and is a National Book Award Finalist. He and his wife, author Sarah Stewart, live in Michigan.
