The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art offers families the opportunity to meet, eat, and enjoy all of the Museum's regular public programs and special exhibitions at a time convenient for you!

Taking a cue from the Museum's popular Member PJ parties, which have been cited by families as the perfect bedtime transition for little ones, First Fridays @ The Carle invites visitors to head to the Museum after school/work, grab a quick and casual bite to eat in the Museum's Café, enjoy a Storytime in the Reading Library, drop by the Galleries, take in a short film in the Auditorium, and create a masterpiece in the Art Studio . . . all before bedtime!

The program runs from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on the first Friday of each month.

The Young People's Chorus includes nearly 70 singers ages 7-16 from all over the Valley, performing a program of folksongs from around the world and music of composers old and new.

Ideas, Influences, and Inspiration: A Conversation with Peter McCarty

as he presents his new book Fabian Escapes. Peter will discuss the humorous and exhausting process of developing the characters in his books. Learn how he prepared as an art student, illustrator, and writer, to create children’s books that are interesting for adults and children. Book signing to follow. (1 PDP)
