Meet Your Friends from Japan

In this exhibition, you are invited into the world of modern Japanese picture books that share similar graphic qualities or imaginative themes with those in Eric Carle’s works. Each of these Japanese books includes a synopsis. Some books have English translations as well. Throughout your experience of these books, you may see Japanese culture in a new light as something that is both very different and at the same time very familiar for you.
