Breaking through Boundaries: Exploring Immigration in Picture Book Art
An exhibition of digital reproductions
Through a diverse palette of mediums, characters, and storylines, picture books allow readers to understand the many facets of immigration and how they relate on a personal level. Breaking through Boundaries: Exploring Immigration in Picture Book Art relays how illustrations enable readers to approach this sensitive topic and develop a sense of responsibility and awareness towards the subject. Featuring works created by artists who have experienced the trials of immigration firsthand, this exhibition expresses the importance of empathy and acceptance within all communities.
