In this virtual author/artist visit for elementary school readers, Julie Fogliano and Cátia Chien will share All the Beating Hearts. This new picture book explores the ups and downs of life, and the power, beauty and connection found in every beat of our hearts.
Fogliano and Chien will talk about their collaboration on the book and what inspired the story. Participants will also enjoy a drawing activity with Chien. Their 30-minute program concludes with a 15-minute Q&A. ASL will be provided.

Julie Fogliano is a New York Times bestselling author and recipient of the 2013 the Ezra Jack Keats award. Her books have been translated into more than ten languages. Julie lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband and three children.
Cátia Chien is a Brazilian Taiwanese artist. She’s the illustrator of such titles as The Bear and the Moon, which was a Society of Illustrators Gold Medal for Original Art winner, and A Boy and a Jaguar, an ALA Notable Book and recipient of the Schneider Family Book Award.
