David Hyde Costello

David Hyde Costello is a picture book author/illustrator and puppet designer. His first encounter with live performance of traditional shadow puppetry was on a college semester abroad program in Bali, Indonesia. With a background in theater as well as visual arts, David has painted scenery for plays and major motion pictures. He now creates films and videos with puppets in his studio in Amherst, MA. His next picture book, I Can Help in the Neighborhood, will be out in 2024.
